When most people think of amusement parks they think of fun for the entire family. Many people do not realize that there are amusement parks all over the world. In fact, New York has many different types of amusement parks to choose from. 

If you are looking for a place to take your children: you may want to look into a place such as Smolkien’s Elstree Park. Here you can find everything from the old J.M. Barrie rides and attractions to the all new Harry Potter attractions. You can also enjoy the many concerts that are held at the park each year. Other amusement parks in New York include ones like the New York State Fairgrounds and Astoria Park. Both of these offer great rides and exhibits but are not exactly what you would consider a Theme Park. They still offer fun for the entire family and even if you are not in the mood to spend the day at one of these places you can always check out the neighboring ones in New York City. 

One of the most popular amusement parks: in New York is located in the upstate New York area. One of the best known Amusement Parks in the United States, MSG is in New York City proper and is two miles long from the New York Harbor. The MSG complex includes two professional sports teams as well as two major League Soccer teams. You can find all sorts of food and drinks in this huge Amusement Park and on top of it you can even purchase your tickets for the upcoming New York Giants NFL football game. 

If you are looking for more of a family amusement park: then you may want to check into the numerous Family Theme Parks in New York. At many of these theme parks the attraction is based around a particular sport or cartoon character. For example, at Six Flags Magic Mountain you can get your thrill on with many roller coasters. This Park is actually split into seven different sections. This includes Mountain, Space, Fun Zone, Back Yard, Jurassic Coast, etc. For people who have a fear of heights you can also visit Panic at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, where you can walk on a railroad while riding on roller coasters. 

There are many amusement parks in New York: that cater to specific tastes or interests. For people who love shopping can go to Broadway Avenue in New York or the Highbridge Shopping Center in Brooklyn. For animal lovers there is Spy Farm in New York’s Battery Park or the Animal kingdom at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. 

When visiting New York: you should definitely take some time to see some of the many other attractions that the city has to offer. You can find a boat tour at New York’s Port New York, where you can take in the sights of the New York skyline. Also, there are boat tours of the Hudson River and the Ellis Island artifacts. Or, if you like history you can go to the United Nations or the Museum of Modern Art.

If you enjoy rodeo you can go to Buffalo, New York or Las Vegas, Nevada. The possibilities are endless.
